Openings in the wall give the visitor a view into the store. Here, a vertical opening in the wall is juxtaposed against a horizontal display case cantilevered out into the exhibit space. The display case is supported by a half-inch thick cold-rolled flat steel column that has been oil-rubbed by hand to a rich patina. The flush wall bases maintain the simple clarity of the design, where the wall turns into the floor.
