Located in the Los Feliz hills of Los Angeles, this whole house makeover included combining what were a separate dining room and kitchen into one great room for both. The kitchen then became the focal point of the house, with the island as the centerpiece. The kitchen island features several different heights of counters for different types of uses, such as display, preparation, and eating. A large light trough was carved out of the ceiling, and the Akimbo table and chairs, custom designed by Ohashi Design Studio, sit in the dining area of the room facing beautiful views of the city beyond.
